Biography

Active: 1980s-2010s
Country Of origin: Germany

The winner of over 25 gold records, German pop singer Uwe Busse was born on September 1, 1960 in Wuppertal. From 1985 to 2005 he worked as a songwriter and producer for the Flippers and wrote successful songs for G.G. Anderson, Roland Kaiser, Rex Gildo, Bernd Clüver, Ireen Sheer, Tony Christie, and Andy Borg, to name a few. In 1985 he decided to become a singer, and under the pseudonym Peter Tobias released his first single. It was not until the late '80s that his breakthrough arrived, when he released the album Nimm dir Zeit zum Träumen (Take Time to Dream) under his own name. After a brief hiatus as a solo musician, Busse came back in the spring of 2003 with the album Ich Habe einen Traum (I Have a Dream Again), which was influenced by his own life and career. Since then he has produced several successful singles and albums, including Schlaflos (Sleepless) in 2011 and Gelebte Träume (Lived Dreams) in 2013, which both entered the German Top 40. ~ Aneet Nijjar~ Rovi
