Dolhai Attila is a Hungarian classical crossover singer who made his solo album debut in 2006 after rising to fame in a series of musical theater productions earlier in the decade. Born on January 7, 1977, in Kisvárda, Hungary, he began his rise to fame in 2000 with his performance as Tony in a Hungarian version of West Side Story staged at the Szegedi National Theater (i.e., Szegedi Nemzeti Színház) in Budapest. In the years that followed he appeared in numerous other musical theater productions at the Szegedi National Theater, plus others at the Budapest Opera Theater (i.e., Budapesti Operettszínház). His most popular role was that of Romeo in Rómeó és Júlia, a Hungarian adaptation of Romeo and Juliet staged at the Budapest Opera Theater in 2004. The popularity of the production led to the release of a cast recording on CD. Attila subsequently made his solo album debut in 2006 with Ébredjen a Nap. The follow-up albums Olasz Szerelem (2007) and Egy Szerelem Története (2008) were commercial blockbusters. ~ Jason Birchmeier~ Rovi
